Many inland tourists visited Tibet and enjoyed the winter scenery on this charming plateau. Just during Lunar New Year one-week holiday, there were 57,625 tourists visiting Tibet, increasing 2.2 percent than last year, bringing tourism revenues of 39 million yuan.

In 2008, Tibet received 2.2 million tourists at home and abroad with 2.24 billion yuan revenue. Tibet will improve the infrastructures of tourism, to create quality tourism products, and to attract more than 3 million tourists in 2009.
